Kewill launches cost-effective electronic trading over the web for low volume and seasonal suppliers
Guildford , UK, 14th December 2007 – Kewill Systems plc, a leading provider of global solutions for the dynamic supply network, has launched Kewill EasyTrade Web Edition, which enables smaller suppliers to access powerful Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) technology through a web browser to interact with their retail customers in a faster, paperless, accurate and secure manner.
|
Secure electronic trading has been an important technology to help retailers reduce supply chain costs. As a result retailers have put pressure on their large trading communities to adopt EDI technology. The problem for low volume and seasonal suppliers, many without in-house EDI teams, has been the complex IT infrastructure required to adopt electronic trading. Following extensive research with suppliers and their retail customers, Kewill has responded to this industry problem by developing an easy-to-use, intuitive web based solution. Kewill EasyTrade Web Edition allows suppliers to transact electronic business documents, such as orders and invoices with single or multiple trading partner(s).
Jacquie Boast, Chief Marketing Officer and COO Kewill Business Integration highlights the benefits; “This is a winning solution for everyone in a trading community. Smaller and seasonal suppliers will have access to just-in-time order fulfilment and management, rapid invoicing processes, and enhanced business agility. Suppliers and retailers will also benefit from the resulting improvements in trading partner management and communications, ensuring a clear competitive advantage for both parties going forwards.”
