DataFlux, a leading provider of data quality and data integration solutions, today announced that Kuehne + Nagel, a global logistics company, has selected DataFlux to implement a long-term data governance initiative designed to improve its operations through better data management.

Kuehne + Nagel assists customers with logistical challenges by providing integrated solutions throughout the supply chain. A leader in international forwarding, Kuehne + Nagel ranks among the top three worldwide contract logistics firms. The company chose DataFlux to improve the quality of its client data as well as other critical company data – including products, suppliers and materials.

“As a global logistics company with integrated services in the sectors of sea and air freight, European road and rail transport and contract logistics, we are particularly reliant on high-quality data,” explained Andreas Kleine, responsible for data quality at Kuehne + Nagel (AG & Co.) KG. “The professional solutions from DataFlux continually analyse, improve and verify our critical business data. This will mean a huge reduction in our day-to-day workload. We are also confident this will further improve the service we deliver to our customers thanks to optimised Customer Relationship Management.”

DataFlux will implement its Data Quality Integration Platform – which includes the award-winning dfPower Studio and the DataFlux Integration Server – as well as the DataFlux Accelerator for Customer Data Analysis at Kuehne + Nagel. With the Data Quality Integration Platform, business users will be able to create and manage data improvement rules, tasks and routines – and immediately apply them to the enterprise. The DataFlux Accelerator for Customer Data Analysis can then quickly assess the quality of the data records, track down erroneous records and automatically correct them based on the customised business rules.

“In Kuehne + Nagel, we have gained a major client of international standing with especially demanding standards in terms of data quality,” said Katie Fabiszak, International Managing Director, DataFlux. “Therefore we are all the more delighted that selected our technology, and we are confident we can offer Kuehne + Nagel an optimum data quality platform for putting its Data Governance Initiative into practice."
