i2 to Host the Premier Supply Chain Management Event
Aimed at Addressing Supply Chain Challenges and Sharing Success Stories
i2 Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:ITWO), the supply chain results company, will
present i2 Planet, the supply chain best practices summit April 30–May 2 at the
JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix. As i2 celebrates 20 years of
delivering supply chain results to its customers around the globe, the event
will highlight supply chain challenges facing businesses today such as supply
chain risk management, lean manufacturing, global transportation and logistics,
cycle time optimization, sales and operations planning, inventory management and
more. Case studies will also be shared during general session presentations,
focused industry sessions and breakout tracks. The i2 User Group will sponsor
special interest group meetings to facilitate networking and the sharing of best
practices.

With a 15-year career in the supply chain industry, Gilmore has held management and supply chain analyst positions in a variety of industries. He is known as one of the supply chain industry’s knowledge leaders, and has written dozens of articles for major trade publications and spoken at dozens of industry shows and seminars.

Headlining general session, Continental AG, General Motors, Old Navy, SanDisk Corporation, Penske Logistics and i2 will discuss trends in the industry as well as share real-world examples of how i2 solutions are transforming supply chains and delivering rapid results. Speakers include:
• Bo I. Andersson, Group Vice President, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain, General Motors – Andersson oversees the company’s global purchasing, supplier quality, logistics, order fulfillment and supply operations. He also served as the company’s vice president of global purchasing and supply chain.
• Dr. Pallab Chatterjee, Interim Chief Executive Officer, i2 – Chatterjee joined i2 in 2000 and became the company’s interim CEO in July 2007. Previously, Chatterjee served as i2’s executive vice president and chief delivery officer, focusing on i2 solutions operations and the evolution of i2’s industry-leading solutions.
• Cecilia Claudio, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, SanDisk Corporation – Claudio has served as senior vice president and chief information officer for SanDisk Corporation, a flash memory data storage company, since February 2007. Prior to her current position, Claudio served as chief information officer for Mercury Interactive Corporation and chief information officer and vice president, Engineering for Align Technology.
• Tom McKenna, Senior Vice President, Logistics Engineering and Etienne Visser, Vice President, Global Transportation Management, Penske Logistics – McKenna leads the team responsible for design and engineering support for new and existing global customers and logistics operations. He has worked for Penske for more than 22 years. He started as a project manager of Decision Support Services and has held positions of increasing responsibility including director of Design and Development. Visser establishes and implements Penske’s strategic approach to providing regional and transportation management solutions and services. Visser’s career spans 21 years in the transportation and logistics business. In 1997 Etienne joined Penske Logistics Europe as an operations manager and he has held positions of increasing responsibility including vice president of IT and Implementations and vice president of Operations.
• Dr. Dirk Petermann, Head of Competence Center, Supply and Logistics, Continental AG – Petermann is responsible for the global information technology for supply chain management, logistics and material management for all tire business units of Continental. He lead a large European project to completely reorganize the supply chain organization in Continental’s tire divisions and also lead this new organization as Head of Supply Chain Management, Passenger and Light Truck Tires, Europe.
• Matt Salmonson, Senior Vice President, Inventory Management, Old Navy – Salmonson has spent the last 15 years with Gap Inc. in roles across all three of the company’s major brands. In 2006, Salmonson took on a Gap Inc. initiative chartered with exporting best practices and introducing new demand-driven technology to all brands. In 2007, he joined Old Navy as senior vice president, Inventory Management, and in this role he has been part of a leadership team reinvigorating the brand through strategy and new process.
