Redefining the logistics exhibition experience
28 - 29 September 2011

Total Logistics North is a new, cost-effective exhibition that will put suppliers of the complete range of logistics products, systems and services face-to-face with senior supply chain professionals responsible for making the key buying decisions. The event is being organised by Richard Milbourn, founder partner of Logistics Manager Magazine and the Logistics Link series of exhibitions, and will be held on the 28 and 29 September 2011 in Doncaster, the logistics capital of the North.

Milbourn says that Total Logistics North will not only fill the gap in the Northern logistics calendar that was neglected in 2010, but, of utmost importance, it will adopt the same proven concept as introduced by the original Logistics Link events of being broad based exhibitions as opposed to the developments over the past few years that have seen more and more exhibitions concentrating on particular segments of the market.

Exhibitors at Total Logistics North will feature the latest products, systems and services utilised in the supply and movement of goods and materials from sourcing through all stages of production, packaging, storage, handling and distribution to end users. In addition to a property conference, related seminars will feature in-depth case studies detailing how organisations are reducing operating costs and boosting the efficiency of goods-to-market operations.

Visitors to Total Logistics North will benefit from a one-stop-shop where they can attend seminars, see demonstrations and meet suppliers representing hundreds of products and solutions covering all facets of the supply chain. Visitor experience will be further enhanced by free parking, free lunch and free entrance. An online Logistics Club will enable logisticians to use forums and a dedicated Logistics Club Room at Doncaster will enable members to meet and network.

Total Logistics North will utilise both indoor and outdoor space at Doncaster Racecourse. The 3,400 sq m indoor Lazarus Exhibition Hall will be used to demonstrate the latest IT and warehouse and distribution software systems; materials handling equipment, storage and packaging systems. The outdoor display and event space, adjacent to a free parking area for 3,000 cars, will be used as a commercial vehicle park to display the latest vehicles and distribution solutions.

Total Logistics North should therefore appeal to the key logistics decision makers working in large industrial, commercial and financial organisations; Government departments and private and public agencies as it will help them to keep up-to-date on the core competencies essential to improve efficiency and keep ahead of their competition.

“Basically,” Milbourn says, “It will be a one stop shop that will enable logistics
professionals to evaluate their total supply chain functions at one event thereby eliminating the costly and time-consuming need to visit other events.”

Doncaster Racecourse re-opened as a new events venue in 2007 following a £34m development and is one of the best state-of-the art exhibition and conference facilities for the Midlands and North. It is perfectly located in the heart of the UK motorway network with the M18, A1(M) and M180 providing eight key junctions within the Borough, and easy access to the M62 and M1. Doncaster also has excellent rail links from Scotland, the Midlands and North, and London which is only 90 minutes away by train from Kings Cross.

Leading blue chip companies such as Asda, B&Q, BMW, IKEA, Next, Norbert Dentressangle Logistics and Tesco are located in the numerous logistics parks located in the Doncaster area and this helps to enhance Doncaster as the ideal launch venue for Total Logistics.

A comprehensive marketing and promotional programme will be implemented to support Total Logistics North and ensure a high class event that delivers a real ROI for exhibitors. It will be an event that will transform marketing and sales operations by providing the right sales contacts at the right price. Exhibition space will cost £250 per sq m and shell scheme £295 per sq m including fascia, walls, carpet and lighting. Stand sizes can be adjusted to meet requirements and exhibitors will benefit from free editorial entries on the exhibition website and in the show catalogue. Founder members of Total Logistics will benefit from an early bird discount of 20 percent if stands are booked by 28 February 2011 and a further 5% discount for stands of 36 sq m and above.

Milbourn is confident that whatever product, service or system you marketing then Total Logistics North will help you to promote and sell it better. For further details contact Richard Milbourn on 0844 561 1230 or email Richard.milbourn@carnah.co.uk
