CeMAT ASIA grows its lead
|
Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China
Date: 25-28 Oct, 2011
• Number one intralogistics fair in Asia
• Wide range of supporting conferences featuring international speakers
CeMAT Asia continues to build on its already impressive position as the Asia region's leading trade fair for intralogistics. In fact, this year's fair is expected to feature more than 400 exhibitors and occupy about 25,000 square meters (280,000 sq. ft) of exhibition space. Hänel GmbH & Co. KG, one of the world's foremost manufacturers of warehousing, storage and organization systems, has been a regular exhibitor at CeMAT Asia since 2002. "CeMAT ASIA is our number one intralogistics tradeshow in Asia. Via our sales partners we've had a presence in this fast-growing region of the world for many years and anticipate further strong growth, particularly in China. At this year's fair we will be presenting our Rotomat industrial order-picking carousel and our LeanLift vertical storage organization and materials handling system," the company's CEO Sales, Joachim Hänel, said.
According to the China Machinery Industry Federation, China last year imported some 3,696 billion US dollars worth of materials handling machinery, an increase of 16.1 percent over 2009. This includes a 90.5 percent increase in imports of packaging machinery, taking the total volume in that segment to 1,556 billion US dollars.
The Chinese market is growing steadily, with the machinery segment alone forecast to grow by about 12 percent on average every year until 2015. And no wonder, given the massive level of investment currently going into the country's infrastructure. In the first quarter of 2011, for instance, investment in the transport sector soared 27.6 percent to RMB 395.8 billion.
|
"This positive overall development will be very much in evidence at this year's tradeshows. Our visitor analyses show that CeMAT Asia reaches the right target groups. For example, some two-thirds of our visitors are senior managers responsible for making or preparing capital investment decisions," commented Wolfgang Pech, the Senior Vice President in charge of Deutsche Messe's foreign trade fair business.
This year's CeMAT ASIA will profile innovative products for the technical optimization of logistics processes, including industrial trucks, cranes and hoisting equipment, conveyor systems, warehousing and storage systems, loading and unloading equipment, software and materials handling accessories.
