Totally Logistics North is unrivalled opportunity
|
With over 40 companies exhibiting and presenting at Totally Logistics North, the new event to be held at Doncaster Racecourse on 28-29 September 2011, represents an unrivalled opportunity for exhibitors and visitors alike. This cost-effective exhibition will put suppliers of the complete range of logistics products, systems and services face-to-face with senior supply chain professionals responsible for making the key buying decisions and promises to break the cycle of events that just concentrate on one segment of the market.
The diversity of exhibitors is illustrated by the latest companies to commit that include telematics, third party, freight forwarding, warehousing and training companies. Mandata, one of the UK’s market-leading providers of software for the haulage and logistics industry; JMS of Doncaster, a local logistics provider and part of the Pallet Track network; Global Logistics Shield who provide freight protection services; Onward Holdings offer multi-sized warehouse facilities and TIR Training Services, a logistics and driver training provider will all be exhibiting at Totally Logistics North.
The scope of the 28 seminars being presented at Totally Logistics adds to the broad nature and interest level on show for visiting senior logistics professionals. Highlights include Keystone Distribution who have partnered McDonalds for the last 30 years with a number of initiatives including OSCAR – the use of cooking oil to produce biodiesel to fuel their trucks; Hull University will explain how businesses can make significant savings whilst improving service quality without resorting to slash and burn tactics and AGR will be presenting how to reduce cost from the supply chain and the implications involved of moving sourcing to the Far East in terms of cost and risk.
Other seminars include Imtech Logistics talking about route and fleet optimisation, mobile technology and software-as-a-service; Dialight will explain how to improve lighting quality with sustainable solutions; Driver Hire will explain how an efficient logistics operation requires a good understanding of key legislation and Apprise Consulting will present the third annual Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s survey with useful decision making guidelines for outsourcing logistics.
|
The event is being organised by Richard Milbourn, founder partner of Logistics Manager magazine and the Logistics Link series of exhibitions. Milbourn says that Doncaster is currently a hive of activity and exhibitors understand how much work there is available in the region. “But,” according to Milbourn, “one of the key motivating factors to the success of the launch is that the exhibition is being held in one of the best state-of-the art exhibition and conference facilities in the North of England, a region that has been overlooked in recent times.”
A comprehensive marketing and promotional programme will be implemented to support Totally Logistics North and ensure a high class event that delivers a real ROI for exhibitors. It will be an event that will transform marketing and sales operations by providing the right sales contacts at the right price.
