Terra Technology CEO presents “Demand Signal Synchronization to Reduce Stock-Outs” at ECR Europe Conference

Robert F. Byrne will demonstrate how sensing demand increases on-shelf availability and enables touchless collaboration that works

Terra Technology, a provider of supply chain solutions for consumer products companies, today announced that Robert F. Byrne, president and CEO, will present “Demand Signal Synchronization to Reduce Stock-Outs” at the ECR Europe Conference in Brussels at 9:00 AM on May 10. Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) Europe is a joint trade and industry body committed to making the grocery sector more responsive to consumer demand and to promoting the removal of unnecessary costs from the supply chain.

According to ECR, if European retailers and manufacturers could halve out-of-stocks, currently averaging eight percent, billions in additional sales could be generated. Byrne’s presentation will demonstrate how leading manufacturers use demand sensing technology to improve customer service and ensure product availability, enabling retailers to reduce out-of-stocks.

The theme of the May conference is ‘ECR: the Next Generation’ and begins with a keynote presentation on the power of collaboration. Demand sensing technologies provide collaboration that works – their automated and structured approach makes them easy to scale and operate, places few demands on trading partners and provides tangible benefits to retailers and manufacturers alike. The result is a more efficient and agile supply chain with fewer stock-outs, allowing companies to capture additional sales while also cutting unnecessary inventory.
