UnIQue ID takes the headache out of mobile data and voice
01 August 2007
 |
For many companies, integrating mobile telephony into mobile data applications can create administrative and logistical headaches. UnIQue ID, the automated data capture and mobile computing specialist, has teamed up with one of the UK’s leading mobile airtime resellers and is now offering to take the effort out of buying and managing mobile airtime for data and voice applications. |
The new agreement secures next day delivery of voice and data SIM cards and access to the most competitive and flexible airtime tariffs available from all of the UK’s mobile network operators, including Vodafone, Orange, O2 and T-Mobile.
UnIQue ID is now able to supply and install SIM cards into its customers’ mobile computers for mobile data applications, as well as providing SIM cards and airtime packages for its customers’ mobile phones. In addition, the company can handle replacing lost or stolen devices, as well as providing a single point of contact for all hardware and airtime related issues.
Commenting on this latest extension of the company’s service, Mike Knowles Leak, Sales Director at UnIQue ID, commented, “All of the major manufacturers of rugged devices are building mobile telephony capabilities into their hardware. On the one hand, this gives companies the ability to reduce the number of devices its remote workers have to carry, but the flip side is that these companies are now faced with some new hardware challenges, and an additional administrative burden. Our customers were telling us that sorting out airtime packages and getting the SIM cards into devices were the most problematic aspects of the process.
“We have our own service and repair centre and so we are well placed to handle the physical aspects of integrating mobile telephony into mobile data devices, and it’s something we have done for a long time. Our relationship with a major airtime reseller gives us the ability to reduce the cost of a complete airtime package for our customers, giving them access to the most competitive tariffs available from any of the UK’s mobile operators.”
