Anniversary celebrations
01 December 2007
Over 350 Psion Teklogix customers, partners and prospects from across the globe gathered in Paris recently to celebrate the mobile computing and wireless communications solutions provider’s 40th anniversary.

As well as reflecting on the company’s history, guests were introduced to the latest product offering from Psion Teklogix – the iKôn, a rugged PDA.
“We’re extremely proud to be able to launch the iKôn on the day that we celebrate our 40th year of existence in a very exciting marketplace,” said Psion Teklogix CEO Jacky Lecuivre.
He added: “With the launch of this new rugged PDA, the company continues to evolve in the best Psion tradition. We are universally acknowledged with having created the PDA, with the introduction of the original Psion Organiser in 1984, and the iKôn proves that our past is the way to our future.
Today, almost four million people working on more than 750,000 sites around the world are connected in real or deferred time to their company’s IT network via a Psion Teklogix terminal.
Psion Teklogix delivers its mobile computing solutions in over 80 countries through a global network of direct sales and support offices, as well as regional business partners. These business partners include: value-added reseller partners, distribution partners, and third party supplier partners.
The company has its headquarters in Canada with additional corporate offices located in Europe, the United States, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
“Our focus has always been on delivering innovative innovative solutions to solve customer needs and I believe that this remains a solid platform upon which to embark on the next 40 years,” said Jacky Lecuivre
