Synergix Rewards Resellers with 2% Cash Back on Printer Consumables Purchases
06 November 2007

Barcode and label printer resellers can now earn 2% cash back on the consumables they buy simply by signing up to a new cash back scheme called MediaPlus, recently launched by leading Auto ID and mobile computer distributor Synergix.

Endorsed and supported by some of the world’s leading printer & consumables manufacturers including Zebra Technologies and Toshiba TEC, MediaPlus has a simple format, similar to that of the bundle deals offered by the gas and electricity suppliers. Resellers that buy two or more complimentary product lines from the Synergix consumables range will earn a 2% cash rebate in the form of a credit from the total value of every order. Qualifying products included in the scheme are labels, ribbons, printheads, cleaning kits and maintenance kits. Importantly, the cash back is calculated and applied quarterly to partners’ accounts, so it doesn’t affect any discount rates already applied. The only exclusion to the scheme is where a price exception has been applied.
MediaPlus is open to all resellers, including existing customers and those that don’t currently purchase from the Synergix. To qualify resellers need simply register as a Synergix Reseller and fill in a short registration form for MediaPlus. To include Zebra consumables in the scheme, resellers also need to sign up to be a Zebra Authorised Reseller, and to simplify the process Synergix will handle the paperwork for those partners that have not already registered.
In addition to gaining valuable cash back, resellers also have access to Synergix’ media team that includes media experts recruited directly from the printer manufacturers to advise resellers on the right materials for a particular application. The media team has direct access to the media specialists at the printer and consumables manufacturers to enable them to advise on any highly specialist requirement.
Mike Pitt, Regional Sales Manager for UK & Ireland at Zebra Technologies, commented: “The MediaPlus initiative by Synergix is warmly welcomed and endorsed by Zebra, and we believe Synergix customers will benefit greatly from the scheme. Buying everything from one place means resellers don’t need to be consumables experts in their own right – they can access the knowledge which is on-hand from Synergix any time they want on any particular deal. This means that resellers don’t need to take on a whole extra layer of training and knowledge that they may only need from time to time.”
When asked what inspired him to set up the scheme, Alan Ayres, Sales Director at Synergix, said: “We have spent years developing our media and consumables operation to be amongst the very best available within the channel. We already offer resellers highly competitive pricing and access to what we believe is the best technical expertise available from any UK distributor. We wanted a way of rewarding resellers for their loyalty to us as a distributor and what better way than to offer the most tangible reward of them all – cash.”
