SATO UK has launched the latest in its series of compact label printers, the new generation CT4i

The CT4i’s small footprint, fast throughput (up to 150mm/s at 203 dpi), high-resolution printing and robust construction make it ideal for use in the logistics sector where, in addition to being ideal for desktop use, it is small enough to be fixed to a forklift.

The printer’s restyled anti-microbial cover - effective in preventing the growth and spread of bacteria and microbes is an added benefit for sensitive environments such as food and healthcare.

The new CT4i lives up to the Sato reputation for user and service friendly products . It features quick change platens, tool-less printhead change and easy loading of ribbon and labels. Significantly, the interfaces have been redesigned too. A USB with either LAN or RS232C serial communication interface are standard, with the additional option of a plug-in interface enabling IEEE Parallel, wireless or Bluetooth connectivity.

The CT4i series printer is also the first compact printer on the market designed for RFID capability from the outset. The HF RFID option will meet much-needed applications requirements for compact RFID printing solutions currently required in logistics markets.

Unlike many compact printers, which are only fit for light or occasional use, this lightweight machine is engineered to be robust and reliable for small to medium sized label runs.

”The CT4i’s performance, reliability, ease of use and compact design, with outstanding functionality and multiple connectivity options, make it an attractive proposition for printing applications in various operating environments that can only accommodate a printer of this size,” said Kaz Matsuyama, Managing Director of SATO International.

To demonstrate Sato’s confidence in the CT4i, the printer is supplied with a 2 year extended warranty.
