Jan Mariën is the new Business Development Director EMEA at Datamax-O’Neil

Jan Mariën (46) has taken on the role of Business Development Director EMEA at Datamax-O’Neil, the leading global provider of stationary and portable label and receipt printers. In his new position, he is responsible, among other things, for the business analysis of customers and competitors and for opening up new business areas and markets. Jan Mariën will also ensure that the Datamax-O’Neil strategy is implemented in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The aim is for Datamax-O’Neil to be ideally positioned with regard to its end customers.

As an experienced sales manager in the EMEA region, he represents a positive addition to our team, enabling us to initiate new business opportunities and thus continue to grow. His extensive knowledge of the sector and understanding of technology in the area of AutoID printers is extremely valuable for dealing with our customers,” says Christian Bischoff, Regional General Manager EMEA at Datamax-O’Neil.


Jan Mariën has been employed at Datamax-O'Neil since November 2005. He played a decisive role in the development of the new Datamax- O'Neil product range for the EMEA region. Until recently, Jan Mariën was Territory Manager for the Benelux countries, the Middle East and Africa.

Jan started his career in the AutoID sector in 1989 when he joined Himaur Systems in South Africa where he started as sales executive, sales manager Natal and then National Sales and Product Manager. In 1997 he moved to Europe where he worked for Monarch Marking Systems as Country Manager Benelux before starting his own company in 2001
