SATO TO DEMONSTRATE VERSATILE PRINTING SOLUTIONS FOR THE LOGISTICS SECTOR AT EURO ID 2012
24-26 April 2012, Berlin

SATO, a leader in Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC), barcoding, labelling and EPC/RFID, will be showcasing a broad range of innovative solutions for the logistics sector at EURO ID 2012 taking place from 24 – 26 of April at the fair ground in Berlin, Germany.

At EURO ID, the international science forum and trade show for automatic identification, SATO will be presenting a selection of products from its comprehensive portfolio of mobile and industrial printers alongside its German distributor WAROK. WAROK GmbH based in Villingen, Germany has like SATO been among the pioneers in the area of automatic identification. WAROK positions itself as a value-added reseller providing not only comprehensive support services for SATO products, but also offering its own complimentary products, third party and OEM solutions.

As one of the highlights at the show SATO will demonstrate the printing of an A5 shipping label to VDA standard 5520 using its CL608 industrial printer. This standard requires not only the use of an RFID printer with a 6” print width, but also calls for the data encryption to be written to a transponder which has a 160-bit EPC memory. Another innovation is the GT408 printer with a retrofittable cutter that prints, writes and separates suitable labels with an integrated UHF RFID transponder to EPC global (GS1) standard.
SATO TO DEMONSTRATE VERSATILE PRINTING

When it comes to mobile printers, the MB2i and MB4i series of direct thermal printers will both be on show. These are light and ergonomic, yet at the same time robust. Hence they are especially suitable for mobile printing in situ and on demand, for applications such as receipts, specimen labelling or shelf labelling. The models provide a print width of 48 mm (MB2i) or 104 mm (MB4i), offer a print resolution of 203 dpi and 305 dpi respectively and are available with a wide range of communication protocols (RS-232, USB, Infrared, Bluetooth, WLAN).
