25 March 2010

TOSHIBA TEC, the Auto ID technology specialist, has announced its new Partner Programme to enhance its strong channel commitment. The initiative, designed to support the reseller channel with TOSHIBA TEC’s strong brand name, also provides sales, technical and logistic support along with marketing tools.

For those channel partners that have signed a reseller agreement, the TOSHIBA TEC Partner Programme has 3 Direct Seller Categories, each of which is designed with its own requirements and benefits. Auto ID Premium Business offers full use of TOSHIBA’s sales and support services together with strategy advice. Auto ID Select Business will provide the assistance and tools required for business expansion. And Auto ID Business partners will receive support from TOSHIBA’s commercial, technical and logistics teams.

Companies with specialist expertise, knowledge and training in media, mobile, RFID and service can join the programme as an Auto ID Business partner. Accreditation as a TOSHIBA Media Partner will further emphasise to customers that the business is a TOSHIBA consumables expert. Specialism in portable printing applications and expertise in the mobile market place is an essential for endorsement as a Mobile Partner. Potential RFID Partners will be required to show significant investment in this evolving technology. Whilst TOSHIBA Service Partner certification will demonstrate that the business partner is a competent and reliable repair service for Auto ID products.

“The TOSHIBA Partner programme provides extra value to resellers as well as demonstrating our commitment to the channel,” said Paul Reynolds, Senior Manager, Auto ID, TOSHIBA TEC. “Our aim is for end users and dealers to have clearer visibility of the quality and support provided by TOSHIBA.”
