Fullwood Milks Benefits of Infor ERP Solution for Increased Productivity

Infor today announced that Fullwood Limited, a UK leader in designing and manufacturing milking equipment, has extended its investment in Infor solutions with a migration from Infor ERP MK to Infor ERP LN, to enhance customer order accuracy and speed up order processing times. The solution is expected to go live for 60 UK users in January 2010.

Fullwood has seen an increase in customer orders of more than 40 per cent since 2007. Such a sharp increase in demand required the company to seek a more sophisticated ERP solution in order to maximise customer satisfaction, as Spencer Davis, Director, Fullwood Limited, explains:

“We were due to change our system in 2011, but we decided it was necessary to change systems earlier in order to further enhance our business processes. We looked at Infor ERP LN and two other solutions, and decided that Infor’s software best matched our goals, due to its extensive functionality and preconfigured design. We believe ERP LN will improve our management of data so we can track customer orders more efficiently, optimise delivery accuracy and cut down the time it takes to process orders.”

Fullwood manufactures a range of milking technologies, including sophisticated automated milking solutions that incorporate laser sighting technology. Fullwood places identity tags on each cow and uses the latest herd management software to provide the intricate details of each and every cow’s milking habits. This is vital information for the farm manager, as Spencer Davis explains:

“Understanding the characteristics of individual cow’s milking patterns is pivotal in maximising the production of milk from a herd. With Infor ERP LN, we are in a strong position as a leading manufacturer of milking machines to meet the unique needs of entire herds.”

Other factors in choosing to migrate to ERP LN centred on the successful existing partnership with Infor, the expertise and dedication shown by Infor’s pre-sales team and the speed in which implementation could take place.

Spencer Davis concludes: “Infor’s deep domain expertise was apparent through its demonstrations of real-world examples of the benefits of ERP LN. We undertook several client visits and phone conversations with existing customers, all of which had benefitted from the industry experience built in to ERP LN. The result of this exercise was a deeper understanding of how ERP LN would drive our business forward through delivering greater order accuracy and management of our operations.”
