He was associate director of the logistics practice of P-E International before joining IBM EMEA where he held management positions in European Consulting, B2B solutions, Supply Chain Solutions, and Supply Chain Partnership groups. He was also a member of the IBM global supply chain strategy team where he was involved with the first Cloud Computing Solutions in the launch of IBM's On-Demand initiative.

“Ten years ago I forecast that the Internet would revolutionise the supply chain and logistics because it would deliver real time event based knowledge and alerts. CarrierNet embodies all that is best in web based logistics solutions” Mr. O'Sullivan said. “In today's environment, where companies need the best in IT solutions to reduce costs and improve service, CarrierNet is the ideal answer because the Software as a Service model means this is all achievable without the need for investment.”
