REFRIGERATED TRANSPORT BUSINESS PICKS
TELEMATICS LEADING INDUSTRY PLAYER

European company OBL Transport has chosen Isotrak, leading vehicle tracking, telematics and integration specialist, to install their Active Transport Management System (ATMS), supplying a strong and credible tracking solution for their trailer fleet. The deal will see trailer tracking and reporting elements installed into their vehicles, increasing operational efficiencies.

ATMS provides enhanced, automated visibility of vehicle movement and location and integrates seamlessly with existing customer planning systems, alerting managers if issues occur. This will enable OBL to set new standards of pro-activity in managing its active performance and maximising the accuracy of planned deliveries.

A solid business case was based around key areas required by the well-known firm, allowing them to satisfy the need to provide visibility for a specific contract. Following a glowing recommendation by one of the biggest fresh goods distribution businesses, OBL decided that Isotrak was the obvious choice to make an impact on their everyday operational set-up especially addressing the need for a 100% tactical requirement for telematics. Such was OBL’s confidence in Isotrak’s capabilities and ability to install and train staff within a short time frame; they did not feel it necessary to review any other telematics providers and instead welcomed Isotrak as their supplier.

The refrigerator business transport management has previously been very administration heavy with the traditional paper and pen approach, so it was therefore important to have a system which would help the employees develop with a simple but informative routine, easy for them to accommodate without it feeling too intrusive.

With installation already complete, Isotrak and OBL are reaping the benefits of a successful and fruitful relationship and Isotrak is already delivering dramatic improvements to the efficiency of OBL’s operation, allowing them to profit from the telematics company’s extensive experience.

Alan Gunner, Sales & Marketing Director of Isotrak commented: ‘OBL is a credible company with a strong view on what they would like to achieve and Isotrak has a track record of delivering great results, on time. With the implementation of ATMS across their fleet, a transformation of transport productivity will be evident very quickly’.

Phil O’Brien of OBL European Transport added: ‘We are very pleased with the results using Isotrak and we would highly recommend it. The installation and set-up, was quick and easy and has proved an excellent work tool’.
