Preactor International, the world’s leading specialist planning and scheduling Software Company, has announced a range of key milestone achievements for sales in a variety of sectors and markets. Following on from its successful launch of recently formed subsidiary company Preactor Europe based in Lyon, these milestones reinforce the company’s position as the world’s leading independent production planning and scheduling company.

With regard to geographical markets, Preactor now has in excess of 300 companies using its planning and scheduling software in North America alone. In EMEA, Preactor is seeing continued solid growth with the company recently celebrating its 450th implementation with France rapidly heading towards 200 installations in its own right. This is accompanied by recently passing the 200 implementation mark in Latin America and 150 in Asia Pacific which brings the total number of companies using Preactor globally to over 2300.

Set against a background of challenging financial and business difficulties, a number of sectors are showing strong growth as the easily accessible yet substantial benefits of Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) are proven time and time again. Food and pharmaceuticals especially show high levels of interest while the Plastics and Rubber sector along with Automotive and Aerospace have each recently achieved their 150th Preactor implementation. Metals and Metal Fabrications, Preactor’s most successful sector, has now passed its 250th implementation.

CEO Mike Novels is understandably upbeat about the company’s success but does not dismiss the reality of the challenges facing manufacturers in the coming week and months. “It is precisely when margins are squeezed and manufacturers have to extract ever greater levels of efficiency from their production processes that production planning and scheduling can reveal itself as the weakest link. Designed to enable not replace existing ERP investments, the powerful, flexibility of Preactor can be implemented seamlessly, quickly, and cost effectively and most importantly, begin delivering benefits from the outset. The challenges are certainly real but more than ever, having control of your production planning and scheduling can make the difference not just to whether you survive or not, but also to ensuring you remain competitive both now and in the future.”
