Four Soft wins contract from UK’s leading pharmaceutical distribution company
Hyderabad, June, 2009

Four Soft (4S) (NSE: "FOURSOFT", BSE: 532521), a global leader offering software solutions for transportation and logistics, announced today that Polar Speed Distribution Ltd (UK) has selected 4S eLog® to optimize its management of their temperature controlled, pharmaceutical distribution warehouses throughout the UK. The contract will be serviced through Four Soft’s UK subsidiary Four Soft UK Ltd.

Polar Speed is one of the UK’s premier temperature controlled pharmaceutical distributors and ranks number one in the UK for flu vaccine distribution. The company is completely focused on the needs of pharmaceutical market and operates in full conformity with Good Distribution Practice (GDP), is licensed by both the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and the Home Office, and is ISO9001:2000 accredited.

Being open to any kind of client auditing and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) for all aspects of their warehousing and distribution, Polar Speed required a ‘real time’, barcode scanning WMS solution to control their multiple sites. 4S eLog will provide them with complete warehouse traceability and location management for each stage of their warehousing function. Specific requirements included extensive batch traceability, quarantining functionality along with real time interfaces to both SAP and Sage to improve customer relations and speed of processing orders.

Richard Holmes, General Manager, Polar Speed, said “After an extensive tender process which began with ten WMS suppliers, we selected Four Soft as our strategic warehousing IT partner as we felt their understanding of our business processes and the solution they proposed was the best fit for our requirements. Four Soft brings the right depth and mix of experience across logistics and IT necessary for us to improve business controls and deliver added value to our customers.”

Dave Pickburn, Vice President, Four soft UK Ltd, said “We are delighted to welcome Polar Speed as Four Soft’s latest WMS customer and are grateful for the positive feedback received following their extensive tender process. Polar Speed’s decision to work with Four Soft speaks volumes about the capability of the platform and demonstrates that 4S eLog is the solution for organizations that face complex challenges. With this implementation, Polar Speed will have a powerful tool to support their warehouse operations.”

4S eLog built on the modern technology platform - J2EE, covers all aspects of warehouse management including multiple sites and multiple clients being managed from within a single environment. 4S eLog has full RF capabilities and offers web visibility to clients, their customers and their suppliers. With optional automated inbound and outbound processing and workflow management, 4S eLog will help manufacturing, distribution and 3PL companies move their products with greater efficiency through their warehouse facilities to their customers’ locations.
