Royal Auping launches WMS by Consafe Logistics

In order to optimise its warehouse processes, Royal Auping in Deventer, the Netherlands, opted for Astro WMS by Consafe Logistics on October 15, 2009. Since Consafe Logistics is a complete service provider, it also saw to the delivery and implementation of RF equipment, including WLAN.

On February 1, 2010, the day had come for the launch of the WMS. A start was made on listing the stocks on site on Friday, the 29th of January. This task was completed the following morning. The first incoming and outgoing orders were processed after lunch. After a well-deserved day of rest, the operation went ahead at full throttle on Monday, February 1st. All incoming orders had been processed by the end of the first day. The outflow was 92% done. From day 2, both the incoming and the outgoing orders are 100% by the end of the day.

The entire launch went off without a hitch thanks to the efforts of the warehouse staff.

The WMS will enable Auping to attain a higher level of stock reliability, provide real-time insight into the various processes and will allow for the optimum alignment of these processes.
