MACS Software, one of the UK’s leading international suppliers of software for warehousing, distribution and manufacturing, has appointed Strategy 3C as its distributor in Australia to expand its global network.

Strategy 3C was set up two years ago to provide cost-effective supply chain technology with its main focus in food manufacturing, distribution and logistics.

“The MACS wms software provides a scalable option that can be configured to various industries,” said Peter Wijeyaratne from Strategy 3C, “and is the right sized company for us to work with to penetrate an already established market.”

MACS solutions offer an excellent alternative to the current software available on the Australian market, which is saturated with established products that are extremely costly to upgrade. Many of the home grown systems offer very limited functionality and the MACS system is scalable, constantly developing and carries a very low hardware and system software footprint. “Commercially, I feel that MACS is extremely well priced to provide a rapid return on investment for our customers,” said Peter.

Strategy 3C said that there is a dramatic shift in the manufacturing sector in Australia, where the production of goods locally is becoming extremely cost prohibitive due to the high labour costs and the availability of cheaper imported products. This has created opportunities for third party warehousing and logistics management: as suppliers increase from overseas, local industries will move to a more service-orientated culture where products will need to be received into and shipped out of efficient warehouses.

“To make these warehouses efficient, proper systems, processes and procedures need to be adopted,” said Peter, “and this is where I see the MACS software providing excellent value,” he added.
