Pierre Robert Group designs, develops markets and sells hosiery, underwear and socks under the brand names La Mote and Pierre Robert. The company supplies Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish convenience stores and supermarkets and is part of the Orkla group.

Pierre Robert has concluded a contract with Consafe Logistics for the implementation of Astro WMS with voice control at their warehouses in Halden, Norway.

Consafe Logistics is implementing Astro WMS with voice control during operations in Pierre Robert´s existing premises. The company is taking full advantage of a smart system to more effectively manage changes in operation during operation, which Consafe Logistics has had great success with previously. Pierre Robert have even put into place a new warehouse layout by extending the warehouse and installing a new system which includes packing stations as well as an area for handling empty cartons.

Astro WMS is the obvious choice for manual and automated warehouse and distribution centres with a high flow of orders, or complex logistic- and warehouse management processes. Voice Recognition is a technology that is suitable for many warehouse functions and applications. Voice controlled systems allow personnel to move freely around the warehouse without the need for heavy equipment. The system steers the picker concerning the direction he or she should take, what should be picked and what quantity. The system maintains full control of the tasks undertaken while the picker communicates verbally with the system and confirms completion of the tasks during the day.
