TOSHIBA TEC and 3M enter alliance to compete and win new business in EMEA
London, August 2009

TOSHIBA TEC, providers of leading edge Auto ID solutions have entered into a strategic agreement with 3M™ for Thermal Transfer Printable Label Materials to help channel partners identify, secure and win new Auto ID business related to industrial manufacturing, healthcare, government, automotive, transportation and retail industries in the EMEA region.


The partnership combines TOSHIBA TEC industry-leading RFID-ready thermal barcode printers with 3M's durable thermal transfer printable label materials, enabling a strong, comprehensive solution targeted at selected vertical market applications in Europe.

“Our partnership with 3M ensures that label products will be engineered precisely to the requested application with the highest quality resources available in the industry today,” said Masamichi Kusunoki, CEO and President TOSHIBA TEC Europe. “On the hardware side, our B-SX600 600 dpi industrial printer is a strong performer in the extremely high-demanding Japanese market and the domestic industrial standard for name plate printing.”


The TOSHIBA TEC B-SX600 600 dpi thermal label printer is purpose-built for 24/7 heavy duty in industrial manufacturing, automotive, electrical, wire and cable identification, health care, defense and transportation (aerospace, rail, public transport).
