HighJump Software announced today the acquisition of BelTek Systems Design, a provider of direct store delivery (DSD) software based in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. BelTek’s software helps companies that perform route-based sales and delivery improve productivity, quality of information, profitability, and inventory control. The acquisition of BelTek strengthens HighJump Software’s DSD platform for route accounting and mobile sales and delivery. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

"HighJump Software is committed to providing our DSD customers with a complete software platform through comprehensive business process functionality,” said Timothy Campbell, President and CEO, HighJump Software. “With that in mind, we were attracted to BelTek’s strong technology platform and application functionality.”

The acquisition of BelTek solidifies HighJump Software’s commitment to the direct store delivery industry following the acquisition of Global Beverage Group in 2006. HighJump Software’s DSD customers are primarily focused in the soft drink, beer, wine & spirits, bakery, snack, candy, and tobacco industries. With the acquisition of BelTek, HighJump Software strengthens its presence in those markets while expanding to new industries such as packaged ice, linens and uniforms. Additionally, BelTek provides a geographic expansion of HighJump Software’s DSD product line to Europe.

BelTek has 50 customers and offers three primary products: a mobile sales and delivery application for handheld mobile devices, a route accounting system (RAS), and a communication middleware that facilitates communication between the mobile applications and the RAS. All products are based on modern software architectures.

This is HighJump Software’s first acquisition since unveiling an aggressive new corporate plan as an independent software provider after its divestiture from 3M in June. HighJump Software’s strategy is to establish leadership positions in targeted industries, product categories, and geographies through an expanded product portfolio and worldwide business growth achieved both organically and through acquisition.
